A quick review of last month:
The stupid computer (the pentium 3 machine) still works, when it feels like it.
Haven’t worked in any project, well…a little bit on the Survival Horror game (Colina Silenciosa) mostly writing, doubt a one man army can finish the game.
So, almost a year ago after finding out how light a simple command line linux running rtorrent was (here), I said I should put my old PII with 64MB of RAM working as a torrent box.
Today, it lives!!
Except the PII motherboard was not in working condition.
Love when this kind of situations occur, simply by chance.
After a ~7 hour downtime on both of my VPSes (seems like both nodes were down), I was just ready to start filling a support ticket, when I thought: “Well, let me check using downforeveryoneorjustme” and as I did, my second VPS was reported as up, “Wait, what?” there I go, pointing my browser to **.**.**.222 and…a directory listing page for lighttpd, which meant it was up. “Hey, what about my main VPS?” and a couple of seconds later **.**.**.158 was up and running.
The paranoid side of me is asking how they can know if I’m filling the support ticket or not…
Yes, this project has seen no progress on the last days, I personally blame Fallout 3, which I have been playing in the last days. Maybe Fallout: New Vegas next?
But that doesn’t mean I’m not thinking about stuff to implement. Thinking about the A.I. mostly, as everything else is working on a minimum level at least.
And if someone actually happens to read what I write here and remembers any of it, they probably remember my constant complaints about using a watered down GeForce 8500GT (which is specs wise a 8400GS). If such people exist, yes, I can play Fallout 3 using said graphic card. Slow and with the details on the lowest possible at 800×600, but I play it. (to think that if I spent ~30€ I could get a second hand HD3850 for example, which would be a good upgrade. But I have more important stuff to spend 30€ on.)
Explosions!! Courtesy of “Detonator Explosion Framework” add-on for Unity. I’m like…some well known Hollywood director known for putting explosions on everything. (Don’t make me spell it for you) 
Also, sorry about the one that shoots as fast as a Gatling gun, I’m still playing around with those parameters.
I’ve been watching the “The Twilight Zone” (the first one, 1959-1964). While I vaguely remember watching some TZ episodes, some 11 years ago, I can’t remember if it was the original one or the one from the 1980s, I just remember I didn’t quite like it.
Now, after watching 52 episodes I must say that my rating of it depends greatly on the episode. For example the last episode I watched “A penny for your thoughts” was, in my opinion, fun to watch, the part where he listens to the blond female thoughts or at least tries to…priceless 
; the part about L.J. Smithers, an old man working at the same desk for 20 years and his fantasies of one day robbing the bank (his place of work) and running away to Bermuda, which I dare to say is the kind of fantasy every person on this world has had. Really liked this episode.
This time with sound!
Crappy video quality, but enough to understand the basic: It sucks!
Decided how the boss will work, good old school style, boss is divided into three sections, at a time only one of them receives damage. still thinking if the section that receives damage will be random or it will be: upper section, bottom section and middle section, by this order.
Still haven’t finished “Enemy 2”, should finish the texture today.
Then, maybe I’ll work a bit on “Project 32”, or maybe not…we’ll see.
Today I was in a “tinker with stuff” mood.
So I started by trying to fix my gamepad, I succeeded, then I spent some time playing Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 and thinking “Next, Silent Hill 2”, which has been on hold ever since I broke the gamepad, then “Hmm, this button isn’t answering very well to presses”, proceeded to open the gamepad and tinker a bit more, then back to PES, then some other little detail…well, long story short, I tinkered so much with the gamepad that I completely fucked it beyond repair. “Yay!” for me, no gamepad any more.
Yesterday I promised an update, I’m doing it this early since I’m a bit tired so there’ll be little progress.
So, for now the level of the enemies to spawn will be “controlled” by the amount of time you’ve been playing (e.g. you play for 2 minutes and it starts spawning Enemy 2 mixed with Enemy 1).
As for the “flying” speed and shot cadence, maybe a mix of time and score. Still playing with ideas about this.
Also, as I have said before, this game will be really simple and short. This means 3 or 4 enemy types and one boss, overall, maybe 15-20 minutes of gameplay, if that much.

Oh, haven’t ranted in quite a while.
I love to buy stationery stuff (yeah, notebooks, pencils, pens, etc.), so today I’ll rant about that.
Found 0.7 mm leads for 0.99€ 4 x 20 leads, I have a little “tube” of 40 Pilot ENO 0.7 mm around, but never got around to using them plus they are HB, the 0.99€ ones are 2B which is quite a rare find, at least around here, even more considering the price.
