This was actually what I originally was going to write about in the youtube guilty pleasures post, before I veered into a different direction and decided to split it into a two parts post.
This post will be considerably shorter than the part 1.

The japanese campers and bushcrafters are just a minor guilty pleasure (minor in the guilt department, I actually enjoy some of their videos and watch the new ones quite regularly)
My actual guilty pleasure (you know those guilty pleasures you can’t even explain? this is one of those)
ウォーカーステーションTV [WSTV] aka “Walker Station Internet TV”
Website: http://www.wstv.jp/
Way to sum it up? Some Ojisan (ain’t I quite the weeaboo? that’s obviously “middle aged guy”, although he might actually be into his 60s), walking trails (seems to be between 1-3km mostly), somewhere in Japan.
They actually have different categories, as you can see on the site.
Every now and then I sit down with a cup of coffee, something to nibble on and then watch one or two of the videos.
It’s weirdly comfortable.
I can’t say the videos are engaging, heck they are barely entertaining, but somehow they give me enjoyment. (I guess that’s a hint of how boring I am, living vicariously through youtube videos for old people)
To up the level of entertainment sometimes I go to google maps and try to find the places the videos are filmed in. (Damn, I am boring…)
I must say that I wish they were at least 720p (or at least a higher bitrate as there are some compression artefacts even on 480p) because some of the scenery is too nice for such low quality, I feel like the poor guy walked for no good reason. Well, no reason other than enjoying the walk.
Well, now let me grab a Cup-of-soup™ (mine is actually store brand) and watch a couple of videos.
See you next rant.
