A quick review of last month:
The stupid computer (the pentium 3 machine) still works, when it feels like it.
Haven’t worked in any project, well…a little bit on the Survival Horror game (Colina Silenciosa) mostly writing, doubt a one man army can finish the game.
About my love of stationery supplies, bought four 0.7mm lead holders for 0.75€ and ten ballpoint pens for 0.79€, yes, I’m still a cheap bastard. For now I won’t buy anything else for a while, except a tube of 2mm leads (those 0.25€ ones). Although I love stationery supplies, I can still see when the amount of “Not in use” stuff is exaggerated. Well…exaggerated considering the storage space I have available (little, almost none) and how much I use of those supplies (barely, bordering on zero).
Seriously, I did an inventory yesterday, while watching Se7en, I doubt I need six 0.7mm mechanical pencils any time soon, not counting the three “in use” (strangely I have no 0.5mm in storage, they are all lying around, exception for a Graphgear 500) or six Sakura Pigma Micron AND two Pilot DR (all size 02). Bah, I’m crazy, let me be…
On more “geekish” subjects, been having some fun with the Windows task scheduler, which I hadn’t used since Windows 98 SE, that and batch files. I remember when I was in school learning how to use the command line…we were forbidden to turn the computers on, fuck knows why…but I remember the teacher had an awesome pair of boobs, reasonably young girl at the time too, 25 or 26. (Oh look, now people will think I’m a pervert…pfffftttt, you don’t know a tenth of it )
So with the combined power of batch files and the task scheduler I have an automated bi-daily Blender SVN compile, which – strangely – had never crossed my mind before.
