That can’t be a good thing, right?
Right! Since the last post I have done nothing worth of mention. Well, worth of mention by my standards that is (and they are pretty low, believe me).
So these last two days I spent a few hours reading manga, which while it is something I like it’s also something I rarely do.
Last one I read was “21st Century Boys” (and before that “20th Century Boys”, obviously) and by what I wrote on the blog that was back in July last year.
This time I decided to go back to something a bit more…meant for teenagers?
Which, I will admit, is what I normally ‘consume’ as far as “Made in Japan” entertainment media is concerned. A quick recollection of the last 4 months (mix of games, manga and anime):
A quick play of CHAOS;HEAD (didn’t finish), which could have been amazing if it wasn’t for the ‘girls with swords’ part of it. Yes, I played a bit of it, hell I was even reading everything, I’ll even admit that since I had free time I ended up sleeping during the day because I had spent an entire night playing the game (I believe that also means I’m a very slow reader…) But then…’girls with swords’, not normal swords nooooo that would be too good, magical swords. Fuck…another mahō shōjo story, I then proceeded to quit the game and come back to it for a few minutes for the next 4 or 5 days. Then I simply quit playing it.
Then I played Tsukihime twice, in a row. Should go and play it a few more times to get all the endings.
Then a “good old friend”, Kana -Little Sister- , I remember when I first played it, summer holidays from school, a few years back (2003 or 2004, not sure) and I remember I got the same exact ending as I did this last playthrough, Ending 5, “Memories”. Yeah…I haven’t changed a bit 
Those were the games, now the Anime.
“High School of the Dead”, quite nice, although thanks to it I noticed my tastes started changing…yes, I’m no longer an “horny teenager”, so I ended up thinking there was too much fan service, not that I mind fan service, in fact I’m more ‘open’ to fan service than the average person, it’s just that the upper limit of my ‘fan service meter’ got a bit lower. But overall an awesome anime if you like “zombie apocalypse” type of story.
Then I finally started watching “Spice and Wolf II” and promptly stopped after 2 episodes, don’t even know why.
More recently I remembered an old anime that I watched on TV some years ago, “Eat-Man” and since I never watched all the episodes decided it would be a good idea. Currently still watching one episode every now and then.
And so you guys understand how “fan service resistant” I am, I also started watching “Nagasarete Airantou”
Yes, I like to simultaneously watch two or three series at the same time, the same does not apply to manga, those I “eat” in one go.
So all this talk just to say which manga I’ve just finished reading, it was “Mirai Nikki”, Yuno is creepy, end of opinion. I still wonder from where does she get all the knives. That and where does Minene get the motorbikes on at least two different occasions (that I remember of).
