So, a few days ago I had a terrible urge to go back to one of my favourite games. One in which I spent hours and hours playing and modifying, the one that, for me, was the best of the never ending series.
GTA: Vice City
Sure, the graphics are not all that pretty, but they aren’t all that bad.
Looking around the net, found some more people that went back to GTA:VC and most of them got to this sad conclusion: “Holy shit, I can’t believe I thought those graphics were amazing”
I think people sometimes forget that the graphics on GTA aren’t even supposed to look realistic, they should always have that cartoonish feeling, you know, that feeling they lost on GTA IV thanks to the hordes of console idiots who only looked at the graphics, because…well their console had to have “more better” graphics than the other hell spawned console. So they could win their fanboy wars in forums all around the web or something.
I’m not saying I dislike nice looking graphics on a game, I’m just saying that if you give me good/fun gameplay you can stick the “Next-Gen” graphics up someones ass. As simple as that.
And for me, in VC another plus point is the cheesy 80’s look and feel, I simply love it.
Going back to VC driving my Freeway while listening to V-Rock.
When I re-read this post I got to the conclusion that this was just a camouflaged attempt at ranting about people who just look at the graphics on a game.
