A New Idea

Yep, I had an idea for another project.

Now the surprising fact is…it wasn’t a game.

It began when I thought about making a blog just to whine – instead of whining in here – then I suddenly had the idea of writing a storyline that would be shown to the reader as blog posts. Honestly, the less I write about it the bigger the chance of it having success is.

So this is a meaningless post, right? Since I won’t share more details about such project…

No, this is – again – one of those ‘I share random stuff’ posts. What will I share today?

That the whole storyline for that project will be handwritten before I ‘transfer’ it to the blog – as I always do with every project – I always write and draw everything on a project by hand.

Probably hard to believe, but I only write on the computer- for a lengthy amount of time – on 3 different occasions: IM – normally Windows Live Messenger – and on my 2 websites. I rarely write e-mails or anything else.

And that is even stranger if we consider that when I was a kid I loved to use a typewriter, I loved it so much that my parents offered me one when I was 7 or 8 years old. Over 14 years passed and I still have it, it’s an Olympia Traveller C with an AZERTY keyboard.

Moving forward…

So what do I use to write?

Fountain pens…cheap fountain pens. The most expensive pen I have is a Lamy Al-Star – costs around $12, in fact I have 2 – followed by a Pilot 78G. Both of which I rarely use, my ‘most used’ list consists of a Platinum Preppy – which I hate for using proprietary refills – and a Hero 266, a magnificent example of ≈$1.2 of Chinese manufactured fountain pen, yes, around one dollar and twenty cents each. And I love it, it writes well enough and carries a good bit of ink, also ≈$12 for a pack of ten pens – last time I saw they went up to $14 – cheap quality and look, but writes pretty well, so I love it.

Ok…odd choice, and for drawing? (if you can call it drawing…)

Easy, a Sakura Pigma Micron 02, although I would love to buy a Copic Multiliner SP – made of aluminium, refillable and have a replaceable tip – but they are too expensive, since I can’t find them around here and in the interwebs 99% of the time shipping is almost as much as the pen itself.

As for the paper I use…the cheapest I can find. As long as it is white I’ll use it.

Damn…all this text just to say I use a fountain pen.
